To improve your golf swing must be top in the mind of any player wishing to really enjoy the game.
As summer rolls in with good weather and golf courses too reopening after the lockdown, you, rusty perhaps
from the lockdown, would want to learn how to improve
your golf swing if you want to take your game to the next level.
We will try to examine what you should do to improve your golf swing through some exercises.
Golf is a sport that was very difficult to be good at and for the reasons stated here
you will not be getting any better at it by reading a book. To be good at this sport
you need to be able to rotate properly and allow your body to swing through the ball correctly.
Hence you have to improve your golf swing.
How your posture would improve your golf swing
There are several ways that you can allow your body to rotate properly.
One is to allow your pelvis to rotate which will bring your shoulder down to allow for a good follow through.
If you allowed your pelvis to rotate too much your shoulder could move outside of
the arc that your arms and hands are allowed to swing through.
When your shoulder goes outside of this arc then your arms can no longer swing through,
this causes the shoulders to also swing outside the arc which would cause your wrists to
break which would prevent your arms from swinging through.
In order to prevent this from happening you need to allow the rotation to come from your lower back.
If you are unable to rotate then your body will feel uncomfortable and
you will not be able to generate the club head speed that you require.
Correct body training for posture strength
By training your body correctly and also allowing the rotational movement of your pelvis,
you will be able to generate club head speed that is needed in order to achieve a good stroke.
The other way that you can allow your body to rotate is by lifting your torso and shoulders off
the ground, as you lift your chest this will allow for the rotation of your pelvis.
This type of rotation can be very good but requires a high level of strength and
flexibility to be able to do this properly.
If you cannot lift your torso and shoulders on the backswing and
follow through then your body will not be able to follow through and you will find your swings lacking.
Another way of allowing your pelvis to rotate is by getting into a squat position,
which would allow your pelvis to rotate as you get into your finish position.
This is another way that you can do it, although not bad but not great.
Now all of these tips are ways that you can allow your pelvis to rotate properly
but there are a few more that you must not forget.
1. During the backswing remember to rotate your shoulders,
remember that this is what you are allowing your pelvis to rotate.
It is important that you do not try to swing as far back as you can and force the rotation of your pelvis,
if you do this then you will not be able to swing through the ball correctly and will hit the ball outside of the ball.
2. During the follow through remember to allow the rotation of your pelvis to occur,
remember that when you get to the top of your swing you should be able
to bend over and allow the rotation of your pelvis.
3. The last thing that you must remember is that once your shoulders and pelvis are rotated fully
then you will allow for the rotation of your arms and wrists.
These three steps are all that is necessary to allow
the rotation of your pelvis and shoulders and your arms and wrists.
Remember that the rotation of your pelvis is what makes it possible for you
to make your swing without having to strain to do so.
