Being in the moment is all about being in the now. Being in the now is the only place we can effect change.

Being in the now, gives us all the time we need to examine our lives and gather information.
Gathering information allows us to recognize what we have and what we need in order to adjust our actions.

When we’re in the now, we find solutions that make life easier and make our lives more fulfilling.
These solutions allow us to be present to the process of doing something and to notice how things work and
how they need to be done in order for us to make progress towards our goals.

When we’re in the now, we can’t help but notice the people in our lives.
When we’re in the now, we can’t help but notice our habits and ways of behaving and ways we show our needs.

And, being in the now, gives us a new perspective on all that occurs around us.
When we’re in the now, we can see the “unimportant” things that happen as if they were “important” things.
We become present to them and they disappear from our perspective. When we’re in the now, we can see other people
as they’re truly acting and not as we’ve acted them to be.

Being in the now makes it easy to notice when we’re being out-of-sync with the now. We can easily notice the moment
we’re out of sync with and make the choice to refocus. Refocusing is all about making choices and
choices are what make life change.

Being in the now is about noticing what needs to be done and knowing that we’ve been doing things wrong.
Allowing ourselves to be in the now allows us to make choices about the way we want things to be.
These choices are the essence of change. The choice to refocus, stay in the now or let yourself drift into the past,
gives us the ability to affect change. Being in the now is letting ourselves be open to making choices and
making changes to our lives. And, making the choice to refocus is the essence of refocusing.

Be in the Now –

When we’re in the now, we miss glimpses of our past experiences. And it feels like the past is still influencing our present.
But, when we’re in the now, we do notice that past because it’s present. We realize that the mistakes we made in the past
can’t be seen because they’re not “out there”. They’re all happening “in here”. We start noticing them when we’re in the now.
I believe this is why when we start doing what is needed to change our lives, it’s so darn easy to fall into old habits.
We’re distracted by the past rather than focused on the now. It’s easier to let go of what doesn’t serve us rather than the the what does.
Being in the now is having the willingness and ability to start changing our lives. Be in the now!

Why Not?

I’ll start with a question: Why not? Why not make the change, when the change will indeed make you a better person?
Because doing what it takes to change is what makes us grow. It’s a time to refocus, to be stronger and to become better.
Changing is a great teacher. We grow from the inside out.

My final comment is this: I would encourage you to be diligent with the changes you make.
Be diligent in the sense that you’ll learn more from the changes you make than you ever thought possible.

I’m always so grateful that I discovered this little gem that I have no words to express what I feel.
I’m humbled and grateful beyond measure. And I’m thankful that this little nugget of knowledge got out to all of you.
Because what I realize is that this can actually change your life. And I really want you to know that.
I want you to be confident in your own abilities and proud of yourself for making the change.

The change is yours, the journey is yours. So make the change, take the journey, and take it with joy!
